We are currently seeking a talented Occupational Therapist to join our Acute Care team!
Ready to join a team of other highly motivated professional OTs? This role conducts evaluations and utilizes findings to plan and implement occupational therapy treatments to restore, reinforce and/or enhance a person’s ability to cope and function independently. Applies the principles of professional practice in occupational therapy in evaluating and treating upper extremity dysfunction and pain, problems in carrying out activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. Supervises COTA’s. Utilizes assistive devices and fabricates splints. Assesses and treats cognitive-perceptual disorders. Works with patient/family/caregivers(s) in the development of goals and implementation of treatment strategies in all areas in all areas of the acute hospital.
Collaborates with providers and other members of the team to deliver a coordinated intervention program that meets the holistic needs of the patient and provides recommendations for therapy needs post acute care. Engages in professional education to enhance clinical practice skills.
