    Therapy careers flourish at Salem Health! Our team of 75 therapists deliver rehabilitation across the age span throughout a vast healthcare continuum including Acute care, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Outpatient Orthopedics and Neuromuscular therapy.

    The Job:

    Joining our Outpatient Neuromuscular Therapy team allows you collaborative, professional interactions daily with the treatment team of Occupational Therapists, Speech/Language Therapists, Social Workers and Psychologists to provide the only comprehensive service of its kind in the Mid-Willamette Valley.  The physical therapist conducts evaluations and utilizes findings to plan and implement treatment which restores maximum independence.  As part of our team of highly specialized therapists you will provide evaluation and treatment for adults who experience neuromuscular diseases and/or chronic pain.

    Candidates with knowledge, interest and experience treating chronic pain, migraines and fibromyalgia as well as general neuromuscular conditions will be given preference.

    Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

    • Able to perform minimum to heavy physical work occasionally.
    • Able to transfer 75 pounds and lift 50 pounds unaided using appropriate body mechanics.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Graduate of a program approved by the Committee on Accreditation in Education of the American Physical Therapy Association.
    • Holds a valid license to practice in the state of Oregon or is able to obtain Oregon licensure as a Physical Therapist prior to date of hire.
    • Outpatient Neuromuscular therapy experience required. 
    • Strong preference will be given to candidates with successful experience working on a multidisciplinary team.
