    The Salem Health Medical Group (SHMG) is a growing premiere group of clinics that work diligently to uphold daily service to the local community with the mantra, “Best Team, Best Care” as our guiding principle. Our medical group, including more than 200 providers and 16 specialties, is seeking a Director of Business Development and Centralized Services to provide leadership and program administration. Under the direction of the VP SHMG, the Director plans, directs, implements, and provides operational support for assigned functions for all SHMG clinics and specialties. Works in conjunction with the System Director of Quality and Safety and the Outpatient Quality Manager to develop and monitor key quality indicators and promote alignment with the system Quality focus.


    • Provides operational oversight and leadership to 3 SHMG managers:
      • Manager of Business Development and Programs responsible for business development initiatives across SHMG, with focus on designing and expanding enhanced care delivery models, including Value Based Care initiatives and programs.
      • Manager of Support Services Operations in leading the centralized Clinical Support Team, Nurse Triage Team, Medical Record Specialists, Referral Coordinators, and float pool staff.
      • Manager of Professional Coding, with responsibility over all professional services business office functions.

    You may be a qualified candidate if you:

    • Hold a Master’s degree, or have the ability to obtain within 3 years of hire.
    • Have at least two (2) years health care experience in program analysis, strategic planning, and/or project management.
    • Have at least three (3) years’ management experience.
    • Have leadership experience in an acute care hospital and/or a multi-physician practice.
    • Have experience in the development of provider relations.
    • Have an excellent understanding of Medical Group Operations, Population Health Management, as well as provider and facility healthcare reimbursement and third party and government payer regulations including provider based billing.
